What about it anyways?

Tru Blu Farm is set in the beautiful, picturesque state of Vermont, USA, on 6 mostly wooded acres! We have a ranch type house, a 10x12 run-in shed, and a 10x8 run-in with a small paddock. Our main fencing is electric which often needs fixing, but works well if we need to move it around! If we took the time to really really fix up our property it would be very nice as the soil is very fertile and the setting is very quiet and private here! In the future I'd like to build on to our house, build a small barn, and clear 1 or 2 acres more of land. If you'd like to know any more about Tru Blu Farm, feel free to drop me a note through e-mail! I'll be glad to answer any and all questions!

Where'd the name come from?

When we decided to adopt Jubilee in the fall, I had not yet chosen a name for our farm! I was searching, brainstorming, but nothing yet! When I first met Jubilee, she was a "True Blue Roan Paint!" Hence the name! I have always wanted a paint, but I never expected a blue roan paint! I was so excited and decided that her color was "true blue roan!"

About the critters!

Four horses, one dog, four cats, seven children? Yeah, that's a lot...but we manage! We started out with one goat and one sheep way back when I was about 10 years ago. Following that we had several goats, along with some chickens, rabbits, and other animals. Then in year 2000 I free leased a pony and a miniture horse, just to prove that I could care for a horse! After she was gone, I had a horse given to me in August, 2001. I named her Savannah....she was a 3 year old Standardbred mare, just off the track, and had never been trained for riding!

After about a year, we decided she needed a companion. So we welcomed Pet, a blind, 13 year old Appaloosa cross Quarter horse mare, into our lives! Pet was a great addition as she is well trained for riding despite her blindness! 6 months later I decided to sell Savannah due to the fact that her and I didn't get along very well and she "seemed" to be lazy. Turned out that she had feet problems, and now she is almost too much for her new owner!

Considering that Pet is blind, she has to have a companion. Selling Savannah meant that we had to find another horse! So the search began, and I finally landed on a QH mare who had been rescued. After talking to the rescue managers, we decided that this QH mare was not good, but we did find a little Arabian mare named Confetti, at the same rescue, who seemed to be a perfect fit! Confetti is a 13 year old mare, with experience as a lesson and trail horse, which is perfect for me! So entered Confetti into our lives! At first it seemed impossible to handle her because of her hot blood, but after time she quieted down, and has been a nice addition to our "family"!

3 months later found me making good money at a job, hence furthering my abilities to buy horses and horse stuff! How fun! At least for a 16 year old!!Mom always wanted a PMU foal, so I started the search once again for the perfect farm and foal! Spring Hill rescue was the closest rescue to us, so I looked into their plans for 2003 and lo and behold, they had reduced the prices this year! So I thought "here's my chance" and filled out the paperwork! After a lot of secrecy and work to keep it a secret, I finally let her in on the suprise so that we could prepare! Needless to say, she was delighted and spent every spare moment preparing a shed and paddock for her! September 28, 2003 rolled around, and it was pick-up day! So we welcomed Jubilee to her first real home ever! She was a frightened little girl when she got here, but she soon forgot about that after we showed her that humans(or most humans) don't bite!

As far as the children are concerned, we have four girls and three boys, with ages ranging from 6-17 years old! First in line is me, at 17, then there's Josh, 16, Caleb, 14, Hannah, 12, Andrew, 9, Leah, 7, and Joanna, 6! And we have two great parents who have been together for nearly 19 years! We are a home schooling family as well, and are Christians who believe in the Lord Jesus Christ and all that He's done for us! Praise the Lord He came to save your soul and mine!

I'm not going to take the time to tell you all about our dogs and cats, but will give you a brief overview just to introduce you to them! Schnee, pronounced "Shnay", is a 5 year old White German Shepard who was a birthday present to Caleb when he was 9.  Our four cats are Diddle and her kittens. Diddle had 4 kittens this spring and one of them has been taken already! There's Missy, Oreo, Tiger, and Rudy, the taken one!

If you've read all this, first I'd like to thankyou for taking the time to do so, and second I'd like to encourage you to contact me with any questions, comments, or suggestions! Feel free to ask me questions about my beliefs as well! Once again, Thank you!
